The poolside at Bakubung Bush Lodge always promises a fun and entertaining experience, especially when the monkeys make their appearance. During our stay, I became a part of the show. One moment, I was enjoying my food and the next, one of the mischievous monkeys jumped on my deckchair, I got such a fight my food ended up all over me, with ketchup in my hair. I quickly became the laughingstock of the poolside, but it was all in good fun. The next day, it was someone else’s turn to be the unsuspecting victim of the monkeys’ playful antics. Despite the occasional monkey business, lounging poolside with a refreshing cocktail and light snacks was still one of the highlights of our stay.
